Pugs teethe from four to six months, therefore mouthing is very common then. Though mouthing is not biting, it can become aggressive in your pug puppy to be tolerable. Besides, controlling this habit gets more and more difficult day-by-day so it is better to get rid of this habit at an early age.

Often pug puppies mouth our hands during excitement or when playing and puppies usually do this more to children than adults. And you have to control this behavior of your puppy. Here are some steps which might assist you to train and control your puppy.

A pug uses its mouth very much. In fact, they discover their world with their mouth. They enjoy chewing things. It is found that the habit intensifies in the course of the teething process.

Be sure to provide your pug dogs enough items he is permitted to chew on. It is recommended to use larger rawhide items and natural bones for your pups to satisfy their chewing needs.

When your puppy gets overly rambunctious and starts nipping and chewing on you, you should handle the situation like his mom. You must let out a sound that lets him know it hurt and he will certainly leave you.

You may desire to offer the back of your hand for your pup to lick. By doing this, not only are you instructing him that our skin is tender, but also that you expect a sign of deference (licking your hand) for their action.

Reward the puppy for his good habits. Pups respond eagerly and immediately to rewards that motivate. You can also teach him to act on your orders.

Some puppies go out of hand soon. They keep on jumping and nipping, avoiding what is said to them. Things will quickly get out hand and someone could end up injured if not controlled. Smile if it is not your puppy!
